“V-belts based on high-strength EPDM/EPM compounds”
Sanok Rubber Company S.A. is implementing a project entitled: “V-belts based on high-strength EPDM/EPM compounds” – co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014–2020, Priority Axis I: Support for R&D activity of enterprises, Measure 1.1: R&D projects conducted by enterprises, Sub-measure 1.1.1: Industrial research and development work conducted by enterprises.
Project Objective
The objective of the project is to develop an alternative to belts manufactured using chloroprene (CR) compounds. The new wrapped V-belts, based on a compound formulated with EPDM/EPM rubber, will be characterized by increased strength, enhanced resistance to both low and high temperatures, and ultimately, lower production costs compared to competing belts.
Planned Outcomes
The planned outcome of the project is the market introduction of the developed product.
